John P. Hammond performed on our stage over 80 times including 6 NEW YEARS EVES. In fact NYE 2025 I tried to get him to come out of retirement to perform. He was an amazing guitarist and wonderful person. Our thoughts go out to his wife Marla and his many many fans.
Travelin’ Man ROY BOOK BINDER
Roy played our stage over 50 times, and was schedule to perform this May 2026. A raconteur and storyteller, Roy was renowned for his “Carolina style” acoustic guitar fingerpicking on blues, old-time country and ragtime songs. From the 1960s to the 1990s, he was playing 200 one-nighters every year, touring the country in a tricked-out sleeper van. He was also known for his dry onstage humor. It was always a fun night with Roy on the bill. We sent our love to Roy’s family and his wife Nancy and to all his loyal fans. John The Turning Point
