With his band, Stone Caravan – an Americana, Jersey Shore, rock & roll band, they have created a worldwide grassroots network of fans. Joe’s catalog of music is released on his own label, SCR, along with Schoolhouse Records. Long-time Stone Caravan members Sam LaMonica (drums) and Greg Lykins (guitar) were joined in 2015 by Jerry Scaringe (bass) after the sudden passing of Mr. Lou DeMartino in 2015, and Seth Saltzman on keyboards. In recent years, Gary Pellegrino has been performing on drums due to Sam’s health issues.

JD&SC’s newest release, “Thurman” in June 2023, features nine D’Urso originals (including “Step Right Up,” and “Groundhog Day”) as well as Bob Seger’s “Till It Shines,” and a song from Norwegian songwriter Trond Svendsen, “Love Like This”.

Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan run the gamut of straight-up, full out Americana rock and roll, singer-songwriter offerings, Jersey Shore influences and the quiet observances of NY State/Catskill Mountain country music.

With “Thurman,” Joe D’Urso has released 17 records since 1991, the most recent ones being “Jersey Diner” in 2018, “Live From The Upstage” in 2021, and “What Would Pete Do” in 2022. Other CD releases that have expanded JD&SC’s fan base are the fan favorites “Rock & Roll Station” in 2000, “Glow” in 1998, and “Mirrors, Shoestrings & Credit Cards” in 1996.

Stone Caravan has come a long way since founding members D’Urso, Dan Albanese, Rich Sica and Bob Place got together in the summer of 1989 in a cramped bedroom in Long Island City, NY. The band was originally named “Three Chords & The Truth,” but after six months was renamed “Stone Caravan,” and then renamed “Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan” upon releasing their third record in 1993, “Rock-Land”. D’Urso, a Rockland County native, formed the “Rockland-Bergen Music Festival” to bring world class-music to the county in 2014.

D’Urso remains true to an ideal inspired by the late Harry Chapin: that it is essential to help the less fortunate. He currently sits on the board of directors for a number of charity organizations including The Light of Day Foundation, which raises awareness and funds for Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, WhyHunger, and, as a founding member, Artists Against Hunger and Poverty. In his home area of Rockland and Bergen counties (NY/NJ), Joe is a member of the Dan Sullivan Foundation, which raises money for college scholarships and folks who have experienced medical hardships and is a frequent fundraiser for People to People Food Bank, Rockland’s largest food bank feeding many of the county’s hungry.

Allie Kenny

Allie Kenny is a New Jersey–born singer and songwriter raised just outside New York City. She grew up playing piano in a musical household, writing songs quietly from a young age.

As a teenager, she fell deep into the world of ’60s and ’70s records, beginning with the Beatles. From there, she gravitated toward the soft rock and Laurel Canyon artists of the era, before eventually discovering Big Star and the jangly, harmony-driven “power pop” groups that followed.

While studying industrial design at school in North Carolina, Allie returned to songwriting during a period of isolation and taught herself how to record and produce her own music. Working from early home setups, she began building full arrangements on her own, learning by trial and error.

Her debut self-released single, Soft Crash, was the first song she shared publicly. Since then, she’s performed live, grown an online following, and worked with notable collaborators and producers while continuing to find her footing as a recording artist.

Her songs are melody-driven, built around vocal harmonies and lyrics pulled from real experiences—often introspective with moments of wit. In both sound and spirit, her music pays homage to the records and songwriters that first inspired her
