doors open at 6pm show time is 7:00. If you are planning to order food you need to be in your seats 40 minutes before showtime. We will no longer be serving food during the show. Tickets are NOT MAILED , all tickets are WILL CALL ( on a list ) at the door. There is a 6% handling included in the ticket price.

Over the last 14 years Arlene presented 12 Rock the Point events, giving students that were not part of the “schools music curriculum” but played at the schools coffee house and friends get togethers. Appearing at this Rock The Point will be past alumni of her many shows. Scheduled to appear will be TBA.

Arlene Sorensen,  passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
Arlene was a educator for over 30 years, and was involved in organizing many charities on behalf of students and seniors. She was the Director at Rock the Point, an annual event that showcased local student musicians at The Turning Point. She also worked at The Turning Point for a number of years. Booking the great artists that have graced our stage.  Arlene was also a Lead Teaching Artist for Explore the 60’s at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. She began her teaching career at New Paltz High School and retired after many years at the South Orangetown Middle School.  Arlene dedicated her life to helping her students realize their full potential, and was instrumental in connecting different generations through creative projects in the local community.
