Fred Licciardi’s writing style represents a cross section of Americana, influenced by rock, jazz and country. His songs are lyrically based with an emphasis on emotion and meaning. He maintains diversity in chord patterns and structure with styles ranging from slow ballads to powerful rockers. Inspiration comes from the joys and heartbreaks accumulated throughout his personal life. His music reflects interactions with family and friends, and his patients.
Born on the Island of Manhattan, Fred grew up in the forested rural spaces of New Jersey. He studied classical and jazz piano and picked up the guitar along the way, then spent additional years undertaking formal voice instruction. He is a physician and professor at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where he proudly counsels and treats women suffering from infertility.
